Trade, Manager of the Denver Parks and Recreation, and most recently, Project Manager of the Denver Justice Center. Mr. Mejía also served a four-year term as an At-Large Member of the Denver Public Schools' Board of Education. His academic background includes a Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Master of Public Policy from Princeton University. In 2000, Mr. Mejía was featured in the Denver Post as one of the "People to Watch in the New Millenium".
Prior to this position, Dr. Harris was the Director of Head Start for The Clayton Foundation and previously the Assistant Director/Director of Family Support Services at Clayton Charter School.
Dr. Harris has earned a Master of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Oregon and a Doctorate of Philosophy in Educational Leadership from The Union Institute with additional graduate studies at the UCLA Anderson School of Management. A national speaker on early childhood education issues, she has served on numerous advisory and policy boards for the City of Denver and Colorado. Dr. Harris is also the author of several children's books.
